Annie Caney is the oldest daughter of the Caney family, a family that isn’t naturally from Lawton, but instead from the East Coast. The family runs a candy store near the theater. They have owned numerous stores throughout America as they have made their way across the states. Annie as the oldest is expected to work in the candy shop, but she has always had more pressing things to attend to. As the oldest she represents an example of what not to do- she flits in and out of gangs as she grows older.
On an adventure through the woods she comes into contact with the infamous Clayton Mills. He introduces her to small crimes in Lawton and from here she meets the Dilton gang and the rest of her story takes off.
