Lillian Cohen Brown is the widow of George Brown who was murdered by Clayton Mills after the death of his future bride. She receives the Cohen farm after her husband’s death. With the farm though, she also inherits the bad luck that goes along with it. Clayton Mills stalks the farm and though she is aware of this she does little to stop it. She ignores the complaints from workers and instead tells them that Clayton isn’t really there, that they simply misplaced their tools.

After the desertion of the last farm hand, Clayton moves onto harassing Lillian. He visits her in the middle of the night pretending to be the ghost of George and Lillian believes it. (She isn’t very bright and has always fallen for such things despite the facade she puts on for her workers). She begins setting fires to houses along the property until her final day home where she tries to burn down the family mansion and her sisters stop her. Instead, she sets fire to her clothes.

Currently, Lillian resides in Crescent Hill School, a community for individuals that are not seen well enough to be in the community. Here she undergoes unspeakable treatment (that will of course b talked about in another story in the serial).

She is the second oldest daughter, taking responsibility after Lisa’s death. As a child she grew up in her sister’s shadow and though she tried to outshine her she often followed in her shadows. When Clayton Mills came to Lawton he caught Lillian’s eye before Lisa’s, but she never said anything. She married George Brown in the hopes of having an easy life because of his career. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out this way for her.

Read more about Lillian, Lisa, Clayton, and George in my serial, Lawton Tales.
