I have been asked how I write my serial Freefall, if it’s planned out before hand or if I’m making it up as I go. When I first started it I thought I had an idea of where I wanted it to end up, the directions it would take to get there, and ultimately how the characters would fare. But as I continued writing it I found myself taking different routes. Writing is like driving, family Sunday drives where you all pile in the car and head off to an unknown destination taking roads because they look pretty, mysterious, or empty. And you find a new location with a new adventure and new memories. This has been my adventure with my serial so far. I’ve enjoyed it, I’ve hated it, I’ve craved it, and I’ve pushed it off. But here it is, winding down.
And I think I want another Sunday drive.
