Power of Perspective

This little tool helps when you’re stuck in a novel/short story or when you’re just trying to get through a daily writing exercise. Take a scene that you’ve already written. Reread it….and then rewrite it, but from a minor character’s point of view.

Possible characters:
Protagonist’s best friend, significant other, mother, shop clerk, or even the antagonist.

Not only will it give you a new view of your protagonist, but it will help you add more to your created world and story line.

After doing this exercise I actually decided to use a different character as the protagonist in one of my stories.

Have fun! Create!
